With this year’s Chelsea Flower Show incorporating balcony gardens for the first time, it seemed an apt time to celebrate these precious, outside spaces!
All of our apartments at BoKlok on the Brook will include a balcony, giving our purchasers an opportunity to create their own little oasis. While there will be certain restrictions in place (primarily from a safety perspective), preventing you from adding imposing items or permanent fixtures , there are still so many ways in which you can add life and colour to this space – from carefully selected furniture and furnishings to pots and planters, blooming with new life.
IKEA offers a vast range of planters and pots, from simple galvanised pots, perfect for growing herbs to its RÅGKORN Plant pot, the ideal home for a small bay or olive tree. When it comes to outdoor seating, whether you go for a bistro style dining set or more relaxed, informal style seating, the choices are endless.
We love the TÄRNÖ table and chairs from IKEA. The combination of red powder coated legs and light brown stained wood mean it is both practical and stylish. Or if you want to go for a more relaxed style of furniture, we really like IKEA’s BONDHOLMEN range, which includes outdoor armchairs and sofas, which can be complemented with additional cushions and throws to add additional textures and comfort.
How would you make the most of a balcony space?
